Our Story
The History of CCB
CCB Cycling Education Foundation is the longest continually running elite/pro cycling team in the United States, with roots tracing back to the founding of our original cycling club in Basingstoke, England in 1960. Since establishing our USA-based race program in 1976, we’ve built a legacy of excellence, development, and impact within the global cycling community.
Our signature pink and blue colors have become a globally recognized symbol of commitment, grit, and opportunity in cycling. We’ve proudly graduated more riders—men and women—to the professional ranks than any other U.S. program over the past 25 years. Our alumni compete at the highest levels across road, gravel, and cyclocross disciplines.

Where Performance Meets Purpose
Our current program centers around a dedicated Women’s U23 Development Team, made up of 8–10 highly motivated riders. Every athlete is enrolled in or has completed post-secondary education. It's a non-negotiable part of our mission: racing is part of the journey, not the destination.
We compete across road, gravel, and cyclocross, with a full race calendar that includes:
40–50 international/national-level race days
European UCI races and Belgian kermesses
10–15 gravel and cyclocross events annually
A deep calendar of regional and grassroots events to sharpen skills and give back to the local community
In 2024 alone, we’ve already earned a U23 national title, a stage race overall win, 13 gravel podiums, and a UCI podium, continuing a legacy of elite performance.

A Mission That Goes Beyond Racing
CCB is more than a race team—it's a platform for “Education Through Athletics.” Every rider on our Women’s U23 Development Team is required to pursue or complete a post-secondary degree. We believe performance on the bike and growth off the bike go hand in hand. Our nonprofit structure (501(c)(3)) reflects our commitment to long-term development over short-term results.
